She has appeared in fitness videos, infomercials, and on health and fitness shows, such as The Ab Shaper video, QVC, Fit TV, Berman & Berman, Planet Muscle, and Good Morning Arizona. Gea has also been a guest on the Jay Leno Show.

Johnson was a spokesperson for Weider Nutrition and Weider Publications for over 4 years appearing in Wal-Mart and Sam's Club promotions throughout the world.

Gea appeared nightly on the Phoenix NBC affiliate Channel 12 Olympic Ozone Show as an analyst for the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympic Games as well as the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
